| Ghana, the first independant African nation (1957), has made steady
progress in bridging the gap that has existed between Africans at home
and the Diaspora. With the legacy left by it's first dynamic and visionary
President Dr. Kwame Nkrumah (Osagyefo), the current leadership has follwed
in his footsteps in providing their people and the rest of the continent
with Pan-African ideals through an understanding and preservation of their
rich cultural heritage which is most needed in developing and sustaining
the African personality.
The International Center of African Music and Dance is under the leadership of Professor Kwabena N'Ketia, world famous ethnomusicologist. |
